Serving others, in our Community
We recognize that we are called to share Christ’s love and serve others not only by ministering to them spiritually, but also in reaching out a helping hand in meeting basic daily needs. We are called to support local organizations financially and with our greatest strength, our people!
Valley Seniors and Friends
All community seniors in the Middletown Valley and surrounding areas are welcome to attend the Valley Seniors and Friends lunch.
When: 1st and 3rd Thursdays at 11:30am - March through December
Where: Social Room
Cost: $6.00 per person
Please call Theresa Shafer, 301-371-8837, by Monday before the luncheon, to reserve your meal.
Volunteer Opportunities
Some of the areas in which we volunteer include:
- Supporting the Mar-Lu-Ridge Lutheran Camp and Conference Center spring cleanup
- Coordinating food and clothing donations to the Religious Coalition of Frederick County
- Coordinating donations to the Care Net Pregnancy Center including the annual Baby Bottle campaign
- Coordinating weekly donations to the Middletown Food Bank
- Volunteering for Middletown Valley People Helping People including the annual Adopt-A-Family program for Christmas
- Volunteering for Habitat for Humanity
- Coordinating and serving at the Frederick Soup Kitchen
- Volunteering at the Middletown Heritage Festival
- Supporting Thrivent for Lutherans
