Communion Practicescommunion Practices

Intinction is the communion practice for Saturday worship, 9am contemporary worship, and 11am traditional worship (except for the first Sunday of the month when it is table communion). You will receive the wafer and dip it into the chalice. As you receive the wafer the pastor will say, "The body of Christ, given for you," and "The blood of Christ, shed for you." Your response to each is "Amen". Children who have not communed before should keep their hands folded so the pastor may give them a special blessing. If you are unable to come forward, but wish to receive the Body and Blood, the pastor will come to you.

Table Communion is the communion practice for the 11am traditional service only on the first Sunday of the month. The ushers will direct you to come forward to the communion rail where you may kneel or stand to receive the bread and wine. If you or your child would like to receive grape juice, please indicate by pointing to the center of the tray where grape juice is available. You may return to your pew after you have communed and had time to pray. Children who have not communed before should keep their hands folded and the pastor will give them a special blessing. If you are unable to come forward, but wish to receive the Body and Blood, the pastor will come to you.
