Serving Zion since 2007, Pastor Kathy grew up in Minneapolis and North Dakota, the daughter of a Lutheran pastor. She has served congregations in Fargo, North Dakota, Spicer, Minnesota and Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. She earned a Master of Divinity degree and a Doctor of Ministry degree. She and her husband, Mark, live in Middletown. They have two daughters, Sarah and Amy.

Responsibilities
Marv is responsible for helping the congregation to reach people for Christ, develop disciples and live lives of compassion mercy and justice through the churches social media. He preaches, leads Celebrate Recovery, works with leaders of the Safe House Program, oversees the Welcome Center and tries to hang out with people as much as possible.

Family
Marv is married to Trish. They have raised four children who are now married with families. We are blessed with 12 adorable grandchildren.

Other Interests
Marv is an avid gardener. You can find him pruning, weeding, planting and tending to flowers in the gardening season. He loves hiking with his wife.

Pastor Reaves retired from full-time ministry in 2012 after and has continued in part-time      ministry serving mostly at Zion and also in recent years as full-time Intentional Interim Ministry at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Funkstown, MD. At Zion, he helps with worship and preaching, leading Adult Studies, visiting homebound and hospitalized members, coordinating Eucharistic Ministry with volunteers. He has also helped with special services such as a ‘Blue Christmas’ service. 

He is married to Lucretia Reaves , has one daughter, a teacher at Williamsport Elementary School, Williamsport, MD; and a son, Brad Reaves, a full-time pastor at Grace Brethren Church, Winchester, VA. Pastor Ron and his wife have three grandchildren, Delaney, Jordyn, and Noah.
